Since graduating from AUT (2002) I have practiced physiotherapy in Queenstown & Southland.  My keen interest in netball and snowboarding spurred a love of sports physiotherapy. I completed my PGDip Sports Medicine in 2007 and Masters in Sports Physiotherapy in 2012.

I have had the pleasure and privilege of working with the Ascot Park Hotel Southern Steel, representing Aotearoa with Netball New Zealands' Fast Five and U21's teams and fulfilled my dream of working with the Silver Ferns.  I am a dedicated manual therapist and I take pride in providing an elite service.  I have a passion for orthopaedic rehabilitation, vestibular care & balance, and continued education with musculoskeletal & neuromuscular conditions.

I am excited to be newly enrolled with Otago Polytechnic and am looking forward to continuing my educational journey in sports science. It is my dream to give back to the community, contributing with research and development in netball!

HELEN MAXWELL

Receptionist

Our Director of First Impressions!

Affectionately known as BID, Helen is our gem, she is the glue that keeps our team together, on schedule & on time (well she tries!)…

Helen has a smile that will light up your day, you will hear it on the other end of the phone when you call. She is our wonder woman, the one who replies to your emails, administration requests and sorts both your appointments and accounts.

Helen has a heart of gold and a knack of looking after us as therapists.  She has a way, it’s difficult to find words to explain how, the right mix of ‘kick up the bum’ reminders, ‘here’s a piece of date scone’, and ‘see what you’ve got with todays’ cryptic crossword’ to encourage us through our day.

KATHLEEN EADE

Massage Therapist

Kia ora! My name is Kathleen and I have joined the wonderful team here at Treat me Physio as a Massage Therapist. I trained at NZ College of Massage in Wellington in addition to some papers at SIT when returning to settle back in Invercargill.

I  am a big advocate for a  holistic approach to health - food, rest, exercise and... massage. This outlook has led me to work as a registered Nutritionist as well as currently instructing yoga in Invercargill.

I live in town with my hubby, 3 daughters who keep me busy and I enjoy keeping active through running, yoga and  going to the gym.

I am excited to work alongside Corina offering massage.  Whether deep tissue to assist movement or relaxation to serve the mind and soul - I hope to see you for an appointment soon! Kathleen

Personal Trainer

Hi , I'm Kimberley. I live in Edendale with my Husband and 2 Daughters, a few dozen sheep and a fat cat.
I'm a pretty down to earth person, quiet in thought, quick to laugh, and rather stubborn.

I struggled with weight/health through my teens/early 20s and after a long battle with many highs and many many lows I found a balance and way of living, moving and nourishing my body that worked for me. We are all unique individuals and I believe our path to health and wellness does and should reflects this.

With this experience and passion I qualified as a Personal Trainer in 2019. I have been working in that space since. I have also gone on to study Pre and Post Natal Coaching, Training Perimenopausal and Menopausal Women, and recently a Diploma in Weight-loss Management Coaching.

Exercise for me began with weight-loss through walking & running. I found the benefit of it on my mental health became the motivation to maintain movement and that is my number 1 drive today. I now understand the benefits of a variety of exercise types/styles and the mind body connection. I believe movement is as much for our mental wellness, physical independence, gaining and maintaining strength, feeling fit enough to do things we enjoy, as it is for weight loss, which is a valid goal for many as well.

It is hard to put in to words how passionate I feel about helping people to move, not to manage or get by but to thrive and be an active participant in life. I am therefore rather excited to continue my Personal Training in the amazing environment Corina and the Treat Me team have created.

HARMONY GASCOIGNE

Receptionist

Harmony, we are told from patients that she is a 'ray of sunshine' on front desk! Not only a friendly face to welcome you, she is always up for a bit of banter and keeps us all on our toes, open and having fun guessing!

With big shoes to fill, Harmony adores Helen and is proving to go well in her absence, whilst bringing her true authentic self!

We promise, a photo will follow soon!
